Clifton Arizona

Clifton Arizona

Appropriate that these buildings perched on a hillside would be in Clifton, AZ. I’m not sure I would want to walk around in any of these old mining structures.

Reading the Rails

Reading the Rails

I’ve not been riding the rails, but I have found some interesting reading on them. There is a lot of history in the writing on the tracks.

Moon Down

Moon Down

The moon set last night just after the sun set. Not visible for most of the day because of the bright light of the sun. The moon made a brief appearance after sunset before setting itself a few minutes later.

Number 21

Number 21

In Clifton, AZ off the main street is the old Number 21. Kids will love it, climb on, climb in see how big it really is compared to you.

Clifton Depot

Clifton Depot

The old depot is a facinating piece of history in Clifton.

Hannagan’s Meadow

Hannagan’s Meadow

Hannagan’s Meadow is on Arizona Route 191. You can get to it from Eagan or from Clifton.

Old Homestead on Route 191

Old Homestead on Route 191

After seeing Hannagan’s Meadow coming up 191 from Clifton are these two buildings sitting in a meadow.

Roosevelt Dam Bridge

Roosevelt Dam Bridge

Roosevelt Dam Bridge

Roosevelt Dam Bridge

Roosevelt Lake in Arizona has one of the 12 great bridges in the United States. You cross it on State Route 188. The lake is one of the largest in Arizona and is used for fishing, camping, boating, and all kinds or recreation.
