Staying cool in Tucson

A quick dip in the pool is one way to stay cool in Tucson during the summer.

Globe AZ Bed and Breakfast

The Dream Manor Inn in Globe, AZ has it’s own street that looks like a village.  I call it a Tuscan village since Tuscany is a place spelled close to Tucsony.  It would be nice to see the real thing some day.  For now a quick trip to Globe is just 90 minutes away.

The Giants

I love walking around downtown Denver.  This is off 16th street mall.  I love the 16th street mall.  I could spend years there writing and photographing the people and scenes on the mall.

All of downtown Denver is fascinating to the eye and lens as well.

Six Bits will get you a room

You can see this gem on the at the Salt River on State Route 77, but I wouldn’t want to stay there even if the sign said “Vacancy”

Reflected Light

I mentioned yesterday my love for reflected light.  This is an example.  I love all the glass.  The way the city seems bigger and brighter is amazing.  I wonder if the architects ever wonder what their building will look like reflected in the glass of those around it.

Tall Building Reflected in a single windshield

That’s what caught my eye when walking in downtown Denver in June.  I love reflections.  This one stopped me dead in my tracks and I had to work to get the top of the building in the reflection.  It was worth it.  I love urban shooting.

a Very Buzzy Bee Morning

Even with my poor hearing I could hear the buzz in the air.  The bees were up early and gathering pollen before the heat of the day.  I don’t know how much the heat bothers them.  I’ve never seen a bee sweat, but I think they get irritable when it gets really hot.
