Looking up you see the home with one of the best views possible of the harbor.

We walked into the Mcdonalds inside Walmart in Prescott, AZ this morning and this mural was on the wall inside.

I remember my first Mcdonald’s hamburger. I was 7 or 8 years old. Growing up in Ontario, Ohio we didn’t have a lot of night life. We didn’t have a lot of anything.

When the Mcdonalds opened it was pretty much like the one in the mural. No dining inside, covered area to order then take the food out. Golden arches looked just like these and it was way before they showed how many burgers sold.

My dad had a hardtop mercury that looked almost identical to the convertible, right down to the white sidewalls.

Staying at the Luxor I was able to hold the Droid up to the window in my room and take this shot of Excalibur early one morning.

It is still the background screen on my phone.

I wouldn’t want to live in a condo.
But I sure like visiting them.
I don’t like the monthly HOA fee at a Condo
But I do like the pool, rec center and amenities.

If you lock your keys in the car in Jerome the fire dept. can open your car. But they use the jaws of life to do it, so you will probably need a tow. Don’t bother going to the Police station, they can’t find their slim jim. They do have a list of locksmiths you can call (Cha Ching).

The only thing that seems to be in school are old toilets and an out house. I doubt if class reunions are held here.

Tohono Chul Park has lots of color in the walls of the buildings and for background for many of the cactus and plants throughout the park.

Tustin Blimp Hanger

At the time the two hangers were constructed it was the Santa Ana air station.  The two hangers were the largest wooden structures in the world.  Over 1000 ft long and 178 ft tall.  The wood was made fire resistant with a vacuum process which infused salt into the wood.  The six doors on each end of the hangers weigh between 24 and 29 ton each.  Amazing engineering.

During the Korean war they hangers were turned over the the Marines and used for helicopters.

Globe AZ Bed and Breakfast

The Dream Manor Inn in Globe, AZ has it’s own street that looks like a village.  I call it a Tuscan village since Tuscany is a place spelled close to Tucsony.  It would be nice to see the real thing some day.  For now a quick trip to Globe is just 90 minutes away.
