This week I’m going back through the archives and pulling out some sunsets. Yeah, I know we all love our sunsets. Almost every stock photo site in existence has banned the submission of sunset and flower pictures.
The old shell station sits on one of the two corners of Elgin. Nothing left now but the painted over sign on a very old building.
The road to Elgin; it depends, you can get there two ways out of Sanoita, AZ. The way we went was out of town on 82 East to the road to Elgin. As you approach the road you see this scene above.
Lake Patagonia is bigger than it first appears. There are several fingers and an area where speed boats can do a quick turn around. Fishing is popular in the finger where the beach is located.
Lake Patagonia, isn’t in Patagonia. In fact you won’t find any reference to where the lake is in Patagonia.
I was out moving a sign from a bad location to a good location for a friend. There were some pretty big drops of rain and a few pieces of small ice falling from the sky as I worked but not enough to stop digging the hole then tamping the sign in place. When I turned around. . . Guess I was pretty lucky I didn’t get wet.
It’s been a rainy kind of day with a patch work of showers all around Tucson today.
