The sound of falling water is like Rain in Tucson

This is the first time I’ve posted an image here taken with my Blackberry 8330.  It has a camera built in which is at least a megapixel but I don’t know how many.  I don’t like the image quality I get from it so I reserve it for “fun” shots.

Today I share one I took a couple of hours ago while stopping by the HomeSmart office.  I’d never seen the plaza behind the buildings and all I had with me was my assistant “Berry”.

Now I know this is total overkill but I emailed myself the image then created three images from it and ran it through HDR photomatix processing.  A little Noise reduction and what you see is what you get.

I have no plans of publishing any more of Berry’s art work here.

Anteaters On Thanksgiving

I’ve been wondering what Anteaters eat on Thanksgiving. It seems they eat what they always do, ants. And they soak up a lot of sun and catch up on their email.

Saturday Morning at the Oro Valley Library

Monsoon rains had filled the sky most of the afternoon and evening.  There were heavy clouds with thunder and lightening goin on all around.  Just has the sun was setting it popped out under the clouds for about 5 minutes.  The slot for light was very narrow and focused.  It hit the mountains and I knew where I wanted to be.  I also knew I had less than 5 minutes to be there and still have the light.

I made it set up and got off about 6 quick shots before the light and the sun were gone for the day.  This one was the keeper.  Shot with an Ultra Wide angle at 14mm.  1.6 sec exposure at f8.

It’s a pizza hand off, like two runners in a marathon these two metal heads are either going for the pizza or headed home with the last two pieces.

This is one of the latest additions to Oro Valley’s pubic art. It has the same whimsical touch of humor that so many of the latest pieces exemplify. This is truly one of my favorites.  Not because of the scary lips that make him look like the Joker.  It is the whole scene that takes this photographer from scary to smiles for all that encounter him.

This is a touching piece of artwork.  There is over a million dollars worth of art all throughout the hopsital.  One thing that makes me smile about this piece.  The Oro Valley Hospital is an Adult hospital.  There are no childrens services here.  Those are handled by the sister hospital Northwest.
