Hedgehogs are a small cactus that usually only grow to about 10 to 12 inches. You will find a lot of them shorter. They grow in clumps or small families. Most of the year you drive right by them. But when they bloom they really catch the eye.
They come in a variety of colors and shades. If you see a sudden burst of color as you drive by it is probably a hedgehog waving his hat at you.
