Drive In Globe, Arizona
There are a few places left where you can see a movie from your car. This theater in Globe is open on weekends.

Purple Thistle in Globe
It is that time of year in Arizona when the winds pick up and the monsoon rains begin. The Thistle is dry and the seeds ready for the wind. The next cycle is about to begin.

Purple in Globe, AZ
I was in Globe, AZ this week. These are in bloom. Most of the wildflowers are gone now because of the heat. Globe is higher than Tucson and a bit cooler. This day it was 89 in Globe and 105 in Tucson.

Salt River Jail House
This old jail house is on 77 at the Salt River. It isn’t very secure.

Not Tucson
This image was taken somewhere near the 16th Street Mall in Denver. Near, I stress Near not on, around, about, by . . .

Tucson Plaza Fountain
This is the first time I’ve posted an image here taken with my Blackberry 8330. It has a camera built in which is at least a megapixel but I don’t know how many. I don’t like the image quality I get from it so I reserve it for “fun” shots.
Today I share one I took a couple of hours ago while stopping by the HomeSmart office. I’d never seen the plaza behind the buildings and all I had with me was my assistant “Berry”.
Now I know this is total overkill but I emailed myself the image then created three images from it and ran it through HDR photomatix processing. A little Noise reduction and what you see is what you get.
I have no plans of publishing any more of Berry’s art work here.

Oro Valley Golf
The golf courses are one of the few places you can go around Tucson for a “Green” fix. There is water and usually some kind of trees too. It is nice to see a little more green some days. Don’t get me wrong, there are some really green areas in Tucson. I just don’t live near one of them.

Fox Home ?
Where is this? It is famous, it is a park. It is where I was in early April. You tell me.

Kanab Charmer
While in Kanab, Utah last Sunday I spotted this place next door to the theater. My son and I were there to deliver and setup two horse sculptures he had just finished for the lady who owns the theater and restaurant down the block. While that was going on I noticed this house across the parking lot. I like the colors, the textures and the thought of what it was like 50 years ago.

Palo Verde Night
Last night I headed up to Arizona City to get on the road to Kanab, Utah. As I left town I stopped at the bank and saw the palo verde in bloom in the parking lot. It was about 8 pm and there were a lot of people and cars around. The trip got delayed until today. I did get my trailer hitch and lights connected up. I headed back to Tucson about 10:20 pm. At 11 pm I pulled back in the parking lot. It was pretty easy to shoot and have the place to myself.
