The old shell station sits on one of the two corners of Elgin. Nothing left now but the painted over sign on a very old building.

The road to Elgin; it depends, you can get there two ways out of Sanoita, AZ. The way we went was out of town on 82 East to the road to Elgin. As you approach the road you see this scene above.

Lake Patagonia State Park

Lake Patagonia State Park

Lake Patagonia is bigger than it first appears. There are several fingers and an area where speed boats can do a quick turn around. Fishing is popular in the finger where the beach is located.

Lake Patagonia Bridge

Lake Patagonia Bridge

Lake Patagonia, isn’t in Patagonia. In fact you won’t find any reference to where the lake is in Patagonia.

Long Horns

Long Horns

What do they eat? Not much around here to eat. Most of the grass looks like shredded wheat.

January Rain

January Rain

I was out moving a sign from a bad location to a good location for a friend. There were some pretty big drops of rain and a few pieces of small ice falling from the sky as I worked but not enough to stop digging the hole then tamping the sign in place. When I turned around. . . Guess I was pretty lucky I didn’t get wet.

Late Day Showers

Late Day Showers
