I’ve debated about using photos from my phone. I know they are getting better, but I’ve not been real thrilled with the quality of images coming from my Droid X.

In the Winter here in Tucson where we live on the West side of the Mts. the sun doesn’t come up till almost 8 am. It is light long before but it takes time to become visible over the Catalinas.

Was making a Reb Box run last night to get the video back before 7 pm. Had to stop for the light and with camera in hand snapped this view of the Catalinas and Pusch Ridge. Not a bad place to wait. Now if we didn’t have those lights in the shot . . .

As we enter our 44th day over 100 my thoughts turn to last fall and cool evenings when I could setup a tripod without oven mitts and wait for the sun to turn the mountains into gold.
