Racing The Sun
I wonder how long he can stay in the sunset.
Those three pyramid shaped mountains always let you know those are the Tucson Mountains.
It was 2009. When they still held the event at the Gallery.
The Catalina Mountains from Oro Valley catch the setting sun. Often a red/orange glow is given off the mountains.
This week I’m going back through the archives and pulling out some sunsets. Yeah, I know we all love our sunsets. Almost every stock photo site in existence has banned the submission of sunset and flower pictures.
The sun was setting and the day was almost done. But not for everyone.
The moon set last night just after the sun set. Not visible for most of the day because of the bright light of the sun. The moon made a brief appearance after sunset before setting itself a few minutes later.
While most photographers turn their lens to the sunset, sometimes it pays to turn it to what the sun is setting on. In this case the ivy growing on the wall takes on a glow that it doesn’t have the rest of the day.
