This week I’m going back through the archives and pulling out some sunsets. Yeah, I know we all love our sunsets.

Almost every stock photo site in existence has banned the submission of sunset and flower pictures. But we keep taking them.

The world never seems to stop loving them. So this week after Valentine’s Day will be dedicated to our love of sunsets.
This first one was taken back in 2006 on a fall evening.

The Trolley in Tucson

The 4th Ave. Underpass which has been closed for years reopened this past week.  This is good news for all.  It is the connection between the Campus part of town and Downtown.  Closed for years it is now open and traffic is moving again.

Duck

As a general rule I don’t take ducks.  I don’t shoot ducks, I don’t sit where there are ducks, I don’t step where ducks have been.

That’s the general rule, today I made an exception.  I was shooting a palm tree cut down and made into a chair.  The duck was there.  It let me shoot and walk all around.  I finally got down near the ground.  He didn’t care, not even a stare.  So I shot the duck.

The Guest House

The Scott Street Griffin

Scott St. Tucson just got a major make over.  One of the newest arrivals.  The Griffin.

This might look large on the screen.  But this flower is about the size of the end of your little finger.  It measures about 1/2 inch across.

They begin to appear in the Spring in back yards all over Tucson and Oro Valley.  They are beautiful and add a lot of color to the usually muted colors of the desert.
